Discount Calculator
Free online discount calculator. Enter the original price and discount percentage to instantly see the final price and how much you save. Perfect for sales and shopping.
How do you calculate a discount correctly?
Final price = original × (1 − discount/100). A 20% discount on 1,499 means you pay 1,499 × 0.80 = 1,199.20, saving 299.80.
Stacked discounts multiply rather than add: 20% off followed by an extra 10% off is 0.80 × 0.90 = 0.72 — a 28% total discount, not 30%. Retailers rely on shoppers adding them; multiplying is the correct math.

Frequently asked questions
- How is the sale price calculated?
- Savings = original price × discount% ÷ 100, and the final price is the original minus the savings. A 20% discount on 1,499 saves 299.80, giving 1,199.20.
- How do I stack two discounts?
- Apply them one after another, not added together. 20% then 10% off is a 28% total discount, not 30% — run the tool twice using the first result as the new price.
- Does the calculator handle any currency?
- Yes. It is currency-agnostic — enter amounts in any currency and read results in the same currency.
